The melting method, also known as the dry method, refers to the direct addition of metal oxides (zinc oxide) to the molten stearic acid. Due to the presence of catalyst, the product produced by the dry method can generally be completely reacted, and the metal oxide is slightly excessive, so the product is alkaline when detected.
