1. 2Mg+SiMg2Si is mixed according to the mass ratio of magnesium chips and silicon powder 3:1, placed in a MgO boat, heated to 450 ℃ in a high vacuum to start the reaction, the volume expands significantly, and the reaction is completed after a few minutes. Then, it was washed with diethyl ether, and after volatilizing the diethyl ether at room temperature, it was dried at 300° C. to obtain gray-blue glossy magnesium silicide crystals.
2. SiO2+4MgMg2Si+2MgO is heated with silicic acid for several hours to obtain SiO2. The SiO2 was finely ground and mixed with magnesium powder twice the mass of SiO2, then placed in an iron crucible, which was then immersed in cold water. The magnesium powder is ignited with an ignition agent, the reaction begins, and the dazzling white light quickly spreads over the whole crucible. Immediately cover the crucible cover with a gas conduit, and pass the H2 flow through the conduit. After the reaction is over, the crucible is gradually cooled down, and the product magnesium silicide is sintered into a hard block.
